Lord Lieutenant of Devon Patronages
The Lord-Lieutenant on occasions will agree to become patron or president for one of the many charities and organisations in the County. Currently the following organisations can list the Lord-Lieutenant as their Patron or President.
Many requests are received each year from organisations asking for his support. With HM Lord-Lieutenant as their patron this can often bring some publicity and indeed good networking opportunities. However, the Lord-Lieutenant has to limit his patronages to a manageable number to ensure that he can give each organisation a significant amount of his time.
