3pm – Jubilee Songs of Praise at Sandford Congregational Church.

Sunday 3 June

9.30an – Jubilee Service at St Swithun’s Church.

Monday 4 June

11.30am – The Bell Ringers at St Swithun’s ring a Jubilee Peal to start the day.

12 noon – Parish Photograph taken from the tower of St Swithun’s.

2.00pm – Jubilee Celebrations at Sandford Playing Field (Parish Hall if wet).  JubOlympics – Sports for children and adults. Children’s activities.

3.30pm – Cutting of the Celebration Cakes.

Bring and Share Tea Party

4.00pm – Presentation of Jubilee Mugs by the Chairman of Sandford Parish Council.

6.30pm – Hog Roast and Jacket Potatoes – Field behind the Rose and Crown.

9.15pm onwards – Lighting of the Jubilee Beacon, Beacon Church, New Buildings. Parking will be provided – shuttle bus, hot drinks and refreshments will be available with musical entertainment.

Tree Planting

Later in the year Commemorative Trees will be planted in Sandford, New Buildings and East Village to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee.
