Deputy Lieutenant Jake Moores joined ParkLife South West, Cllr Sara Hladkij the Mayor of Ivybridge and Cllr Roger Croad Devon County Council to plant 600 trees at Filham Park under the supervision of ParkLife SW and The Woodland Trust. The planting was being carried out by Junior & Youth Rangers with Dartmoor National Park and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) from City College, Plymouth.. Jake met children from Iraq, Syria and Portugal who had been in England for about a year plus students who were working toward Duke of Edinburgh awards. Despite the wind and rain spirits were high and most seemed to be having fun.
