On Saturday 1st February, the Lord Lieutenant presented the Unleashed Theatre Company with their King’s Award for Voluntary Service. This is recognised as the highest Award given to local voluntary groups in the UK, and is the equivalent to an MBE.
The ‘Unleashed Theatre Company’ is a Christian Theatre Company and the ‘Unleashed Community Choir’ is an outreach project providing a Community Choir for everyone.
The award presentation took place at the Theatre’s 10th Birthday Celebration of ‘Unleashed Community Drama’, which started in the local Homeless Centre. Its members are made up of the ex-homeless and recovery community of Torbay.
