On Saturday, 23rd September, over two hundred people packed Exeter Cathedral on Saturday night to enjoy the Spirit of The Nation Concert in aid of ABF The Soldiers Charity.
The Lord Lieutenant, Mr David Fursdon, was in attendance along with other dignitaries from the county to listen to a remarkable selection of music from sopranos Belle Voci, Cello for Two, The Exeter Symphony Orchestra, St David’s Singers and The Exeter Festival Chorus. There was also a show stopping performance from the multi award winning youth theatre company Centre Stage, based in Exmouth. And no event at the cathedral would be complete without a beautiful classical piece from organist Timothy Noon.
All monies raised went to ABF The Soldiers Charity who last year spent £17.3 million supporting more than 70,000 members of the army family in 68 countries across the globe.
